Hair Quality
So what makes one company's hair better than another?
First and foremost, the pretreated hair (the raw hair) has to be strong and healthy to produce extensions that will last and wear without tangling or drying. Healthy and strong hair will produce higher grade than a poor quality hair. This is normally found in Asian countries where females have long, healthy, and strong hair and they are untainted by chemicals. At His & Her Hair, we pick the finest raw hair at a premium price to produce our line of hair goods.
Second, how skilled a company is in processing the hair is just as important. With over 35yrs of experience, our technicians are masters in color, texture, and processing human hair so that you'll receive the best human hair extensions.
At His & Her Hair, we pride ourselves with the highest quality of human & synthetic hair. We are known the world over for our quality in human hair extensions as well as diversity in textures, colors, and lengths, and quality. The following are four grades of human hair that we carry for weaving and braiding:

1. Regular. The Regular quality provides a lot of body and durability. Although this is the just a standard quality, our skilled technicians have given the same dedication and effort to bring out its best. This is the least expensive hair from our company.
2. 50% Italian Mink®. This is our most popular quality. Compared to the Regular quality hair, it is much softer, finer, and last longer. The Italian Mink® represents a certain grade in our finished product. Unlike other company's hair, we purchase the healthiest raw material (original hair) to create these products. The original hair (the raw material) must be chemically untreated or least amount of chemical process such as perms and dyes to produce hair that will give softness, shine, body, and durability. Plus with our 40 years of hair making experience, we can create this high quality hair like no others in our industry.
3. 100% Italian Mink®. This is an extra soft and fine hair. This is the same quality as the 50% Italian Mink, but finer and softer. We recommend this hair for those who seek very fine hair to match with their own. However, due to its fine texture, some people may have some difficulties in managing this hair especially the blonde colors. We generally recommend the 50% Italian Mink® for blondes because it has more body. But for those who want the extra soft and fine texture, this would serve that purpose. Some people say that they like this hair because it feels like European origin hair, which is also very soft and fine. Beware of claims people make when they tell you that they have "European hair." They are very rare and very expensive.
In general, if you choose between the 50% or 100% Italian Mink®, the hair will last longer than the regular hair.
4. HIS & HER CUTICLE®. This is the best hair that you can buy from His & Her Hair. Like the Italian Mink®, we must purchase the highest raw material to produce this grade. For the Cuticle Hair®, the raw material must be in a "virgin hair" status, which is hair that has not been chemically treated at all. Perms, hair coloring, and dyes make human hair unhealthy and less valuable to work with. In addition, we've skillfully removed the cuticles on the hair (the small tiny outer most layers on each strand) and we've laid all the hair in the same direction. These and other proven methods allow our customers to wear the Cuticle Hair® for a longer period of time without the problems of tangling and matting. If for some reason the hair becomes dry and starts to tangle, it can simply be brushed out, washed, conditioned, and reused again.
5. Hand-tied micro thin weft. This refers to the weft of the hair. Unlike the regular weft, which is thick and heavy, the micro thin weft is very small and hard to detect when it is applied onto your head. These wefts are pre-cut to approx. 10" wide for convenience. If the weft is too wide for your track, then simply fold it over and continue to sew. Do not cut the weft. It will unravel. Also, do not apply more than two wefts per each track. Micro thin wefts can be purchased in individual pieces but by phone only. Please consult our sales representatives for more information.
